ABOUT SHARKS
A fast-growing basketball club built from the ground up in South London already competing at the highest youth level in England.
OUR CLUB
Sharks Basketball Club was founded just two years ago and in that short time, we've become one of the most exciting youth basketball programmes in South London.
We train and play our home games at City Heights Academy, SW2 3PW a professional indoor facility at the heart of our community. We have strong links with Dulwich College, City Heights, and Elmgreen School.
Our mission is simple: provide every player from age 8 to senior with a professional, structured, and ambitious basketball environment. We believe in developing the whole player: technically, physically, and mentally.

WHY SHARKS EXISTS
Sharks was founded by Cumhur Kantarci with a vision to build something beyond basketball teams — a sustainable community that gives young people access to coaching, competition and opportunities that can shape their future.
As a family-driven project, the club has grown around the belief that sport can bring people together and create opportunities for the next generation.

A PURPOSE
Sharks has always seen basketball as a tool for positive social impact.
Alongside our academy and competitive teams, we want to use the club's growth to create more accessible basketball opportunities for young people in our local community.
As the club develops, social impact will remain an important part of the Sharks identity.

ACHIEVEMENTS
CBL U14 Playoff Final Runner-Up
Reaching the CBL U14 Playoff Final in just our second season demonstrated the rapid rise of our youth programme.
NBL U14 London Conference Champions
Sharks U14 were crowned NBL U14 London Conference Champions — a landmark achievement for the club.
CMT CONSTRUCTION
CMT Construction is the principal sponsor of Sharks Basketball Club. Their support has been central to the club's rapid growth and to the work we do beyond the court.
Through their partnership, CMT Construction underwrites most of our social responsibility projects — helping us keep basketball accessible to young people across South London, regardless of background or circumstance.
Their commitment is the reason our men's team operates completely free of charge for its players. Every training session, fixture and competitive opportunity in the men's programme is fully funded, so players can focus entirely on competing and developing.
